The quality of the Division of Fire Safety’s certification programs relies heavily upon assistance from trained Certification Exam Evaluators. In order to ensure consistency within the certification testing process, evaluators attend a mandatory class that covers the specific skill criteria and test administration process.

To become a Certification Exam Evaluator, an individual must be certified as a Fire Service Instructor, be certified at the level being evaluated, attend evaluator training, and agree to abide by the division’s certification and testing policies.

See our testing and course calendar for available seminars. Seating is limited and all applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis. For evaluator criteria and an application to register for this seminar, refer to the Application for Certification Evaluator and Criteria for Evaluator or contact the division’s Training and Certification Unit at (573) 522-2426. Applicants will be notified prior to the course of their acceptance and any additional instructions.
