Save the Date – Fire Fighters Day at Missouri Capitol set for March 18, 2020

On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, members of the fire service from across Missouri will gather at the State Capitol for Fire Fighters Day, an annual event that recognizes the importance of the fire service in protecting Missourians and their property.

The schedule is still being developed, but please save the date and plan to attend.

Missouri’s fire service has more than 24,000 career and volunteer responders who work in more than 850 departments. Members of Missouri’s fire service not only respond to fires and medical emergencies, but also play key roles in other emergencies, including complex technical rescues, hazardous materials incidents, natural disasters and homeland security special details. Fire fighters also perform many other critical tasks, including fire safety inspections and working to educate the public about fire safety and prevention.

Fire Fighters Day is an annual event hosted by the Missouri Fire Service Alliance, Missouri Chapter of the IAAI, Fire Fighters Association of Missouri, Missouri Association of Fire Chiefs, Fire Marshals’ Association of Missouri, Missouri Association of Fire Protection Districts, St. Louis Metro Fire District Alliance, and Professional Fire and Fraud Investigators Association.
