K9 Mutual Aid
Documents/Forms
The Division of Fire Safety strives for the most efficient and effective coordination of mutual aid resources during times of disaster. Our mutual aid K9 team registration process is one of our latest steps to increase visibility in an important response category. The Joplin tornado highlights the need for a comprehensive list of K9 teams.
We encourage K9 handlers who wish to be considered for mutual aid deployment to complete the registration form and return it to the Division of Fire Safety for inclusion in our mutual aid resource database. We are interested in registering area and disaster search K9/handler teams, for both live and human remains detection. Information regarding tracking/trailing, accelerant detection, bomb detection, and law enforcement K9 teams is also welcome.
