The Missouri Division of Fire Safety does not endorse or recommend any specific flame retardant products.

The following companies distribute fire retardant treatments for the treatment of hay, straw, shavings, vegetation, grass, or similar combustible materials within the location of fireworks seasonal retailer locations:

All of the following products are in compliance with NFPA 255 meeting the test requirements of UL 723 (ASTM E-84). American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) E-84 is the Standard Test Method or Surface Burning Characteristics for Building Materials. These products will serve as supplemental fire retardants in and around fireworks tents.
